FEMA has issued notice of new flood maps for the Village of Lisle.

The 90-day appeal period opens on May 2, 2014 and closes on July 31, 2014.
This notice was published in the classified section of the Daily Herald on April 25, 2014.
Again, we find nothing on the Village of Lisle website, Village of Lisle Facebook page, Village of Lisle twitter site, nor in the Village of Lisle's paid advertising in the for-profit publication called "Neighbors" ... We don't find it anywhere but on the FEMA website and in the classified section of the local newspaper. (How often do you read the classified ads?)
FEMA has issued a LOMR "Letter of Map Revision" to the Village of Lisle.

Per FEMA,
"Because a LOMR officially revises the effective NFIP map, it is a public record that the community must maintain. Any LOMR should be noted on the community's master flood map and filed by panel number in an accessible location."

Proposed Flood Hazard Determinations for Village of Lisle, DuPage County, IL & Unincorporated Areas of DuPage County, IL Case No. 13-05-3690P.
The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) solicits technical information or comments on proposed flood hazard determinations for the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and where applicable, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for your community.
These flood hazard determinations may include the addition or modification of Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway.
The FIRM and, if applicable, the FIS report have been revised to reflect these flood hazard determinations through issuance of a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), in accordance with Title 44, Part 65 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
These determinations ARE the basis for the floodplain measures that your community IS REQUIRED TO ADOPT or show evidence of having in effect to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
