DuPage Co. "Draft" Flood Maps Expand Flood Zone in Lisle



DuPage County has released copies of the "draft" flood maps for the East Branch of the DuPage River in the Village of Lisle. Also included is the "draft" flood map area of St. Joseph's Creek.

The "draft" flood maps show more property in the Village of Lisle now falling within the flood area.

General scope of "draft" changes noted:

Flood area extends further north on Rt 53. (by Honda of Lisle)
Flood area extends further east to Main Street in downtown Lisle.
Flood area extends further west closer to Schwartz Ave.
Lisle Police Station is an island in the flood area.
More of Community Park ballfields South of Short Street fall in the floodway.
Portions of properties East of Rt 53, South of the tracks and North of Short St., would be in the flood plain.
Flood area extended east on Maple.
